Rachel Lambert
Rachel first became interested in osteopathy after being impressed by a practitioner who helped get her better after she sustained a netball injury to her lower back. So when she decided to change her occupation, after having worked in the City for many years, she wanted to pursue this interest further and go back to university as a thirty-something!
Graduated from the British School of Osteopathy - one of the leading providers of osteopathic education - undertaking a 4 year full time degree. It was here she gained 2 years clinical experience of treating a wide range of both acute and chronic problems in patients of all ages at the largest and busiest clinic in Europe. This included working in the general osteopathic clinic and also specialist clinics including a busy GP practice, a sports injury clinic and a clinic specifically for the elderly.
Rachel's attitude to treatment is thorough, calm and sensitive and she believes in tailoring her osteopathic approach to the individual needs of her patients. She currently works in a mainly structural way which means she uses osteopathic techniques to ease pain and muscle spasm and restore normal movement. She is also qualified in dry needling (a form of acupuncture) and sports massage and uses them to compliment her osteopathic treatment. Rachel participates in an ongoing programme of continued professional development which ensures her skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date and through this training she will start to incorporate other approaches such as cranial and visceral osteopathy.
